CutOut 8 - crop and replace backgrounds
By purchasing CutOut 8, you will have at your disposal a powerful software for cropping objects. Cropping, in the world of computer graphics, means cutting out the main subject from a photo to replace the background with another image.
CutOut 8
Replace the backgrounds of your product photos, portraits, or brochure images with vibrant scenes. CutOut 8 does this so accurately that even a translucent environment behind open hair or glasses can be cut out and replaced. CutOut 8 offers three methods for cropping and replacing your backgrounds.
Clipping based on object contours
If your subjects have clear edges that stand out clearly from the background, CutOut 8 can crop them using their contours. You use the mouse to define an area around your object that roughly follows its outline. In this way, CutOut 8 calculates the foreground and detaches it from the background. Closed inner areas, which can occur with loops or hanging cloths, are usually not covered by the clipping. There are additional post-processing tools for such subtleties. Next, pick a new background for your scene from any image file on your hard drive. The cropped object can now be moved and resized over the new background.
Crop over interior and exterior
For this method, the background does not necessarily have to be a solid color or have a high contrast with the foreground. With the help of the Polygon tool, you can draw a freehand frame around your object using the inner and outer areas. The surrounding area will be detected and removed even behind glasses, hair or translucent clothing. Closed inner areas can be post-processed with the fine tools, just as with cropping, using the object contours.
Chromakey clipping
CutOut 8 can crop objects against a smooth monochrome background using the chromakey method. This method is known from earlier times of television. A presenter stands in front of a blue wall in the studio and news films or weather maps can be seen in the broadcast TV picture. CutOut 8 works similarly via chromakey. With almost one click, an object can be cut out in front of a uniform green or blue surface and given an appealing background. The use of the Polygon tool is not necessary here.
Before - After
CutOut 8 can place the modified image next to the original as you work with the program. You can control the effects of cropping at any moment with various masking tools. If the result does not meet your expectations, you can jump back as many steps as you like in the working process.
Editing options
Finally, adjust the look of your finished image by adjusting color intensity, contrast, brightness, and other parameters to your liking.
